PAUL HAMPSONTRAINING & BACKGROUND
My approach is based on the work of Carl Rogers and Milton Erickson both of whom believed that a client can find their own solutions.
I have trained to Diploma Level on a British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy accredited course based on Transactional Analysis. This helps me understand how some problems can develop in our childhood and how they can be changed.
As a member of the BACP I am bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice.
With additional training in Ericksonian Psychotherapy and to Master Practitioner Level in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) with The Beeleaf Institute. I have a particular interest in how the unconscious is involved in healing and change.
After post-graduate studies at University I qualified and worked in teaching for some years. Then I worked in business for 20 years before selling it to retrain for a new career in work that I really enjoy.
My work in several local universities and further education colleges since 2005 has given me particular experience of ages 16 to 25 and of different cultures.
